Preparing for Your First Appointment
The most useful piece of learning for the uses of life
is to unlearn what is untrue. – Antisthenes
It is what we know already that often prevents us from learning. – Claude Bernard
Biological dentistry is based on a far more comprehensive, unified and dynamic understanding of health than the conventional, mechanical model of medicine. But because that model is so dominant, many concepts of biological dentistry are unfamiliar. Yet it’s crucial that you know them.
Why?
Over the 30 years we’ve been doing this type of therapy, we’ve consistently seen that clients who understand them tend to recover faster and regain a better state of wellness.
During your first appointment, Dr. Verigin will spend a good amount of time talking with you about your current health situation and what you can do to change it for the better. For the conversation to be most fruitful, you should start to familiarize yourself with the unique aspects of biological dental medicine beforehand.
Soon after meeting with Dr. Verigin, some clients want to jump into dental surgery right away. They’re extremely motivated and feel mentally ready. Mental readiness is important, of course, but you must be physically ready, as well.
Over the years, we’ve seen far too many clients who have spent tens of thousands of dollars to have cavitations treated and mercury amalgam fillings and root canal teeth removed, yet experienced no healing – and in some cases, became sicker – precisely because the surgeries were done prematurely.
Often, those dental procedures prove to be the proverbial straw that breaks the camel’s back – an issue Dr. Verigin discusses at length in the articles below. At that point, further surgery is pointless – a useless gesture offering false hope under the guise of diagnostic accuracy. As Dr. Verigin explains, we first must address the health of your biological terrain so your Basic Regulative System may be fully engaged – a necessary condition for true and lasting healing. “A client’s neglecting this,” he says, “is akin to slow suicide.”
So before your first appointment, read the materials linked to below. If questions come up, write them down and bring them with you so we can address them during your visit.
